Updating a charming 1911 townhouse on a quiet street in Amsterdam Oost whilst preserving its authentic character. This home already possessed wonderful original features and atmosphere—it simply needed thoughtful modernisation to feel fresh and functional. We've designed a new kitchen and sourced all new furnishings that complement the period architecture. In the bedroom, we opened up a wall to a smaller adjacent room, creating a spacious walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom has been completely updated with carefully selected materials that honour the home's heritage. Every lighting fixture, object, and piece of furniture has been chosen to enhance the townhouse's inherent charm whilst bringing it into contemporary living. The front and back gardens add to the home's appeal, creating a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.
