Transforming a 180m² apartment in a former commercial building into a serene residential space inspired by Japanese aesthetics. Working with clients who share our appreciation for thoughtful design, we've created a home that celebrates flow, light, and contemplation.
The long, linear layout features wide corridors leading to a spacious terrace, with a central light opening that serves as an internal Japanese patio—a peaceful focal point visible from both bedrooms. The expansive living room and kitchen area feels generous and uncluttered, whilst an elevated tatami space provides a dedicated area for tea ceremony or meditation.
Pogaji curtains subtly divide the living area from the tatami space, maintaining visual connection whilst defining separate functions. Every design decision honours Japanese principles of simplicity, natural materials, and harmony with light.
This project represents the kind of collaborative relationship we treasure—clients who trust the design process and embrace bold, authentic choices. We're excited to share the completed photography of this unique home.
